Phillip Pavia v. The Estate of Willem de Kooning, The de Kooning Foundation/Office/Conservancy, Lisa de Kooning, and John Eastman

Supreme Court, New York County (Case No. 0107846/1998) 

Successfully represented Plaintiff, a notable, internationally exhibited American painter and sculptor, against the Estate of Willem de Kooning for his work of casts by the Studio of Willem de Kooning and Willem de Kooning whereby Plaintiff was granted authentication for certain works at the direction of the de Kooning estate. Plaintiff obtained exclusive right, title and interest to certain castings, and the sculptures in his possession are authenticated as "original Willem de Koonings and Studio of Willem de Koonings."
